If my services are arranged through a Funeral Director, they will arrange to pay my fee and charge you as a part of their overall costs. If you are booking with me directly, my fee, as per our contract, is due 2 days prior to the day of the funeral.

Provisional Booking

A provisional booking will hold your date for 7 days, after which the confirmation from the family lead representative, or a Funeral Director is required, in order to secure your date. If this is not received, then the date will be released and be available for other people to book.

Confirmed Booking

Once I have confirmation from the family lead representative, or the Funeral Director, your booking is secured. No bookings for any other events will be made for the time and duration of your ceremony. I will ask you to confirm that you have received the 'Discovery' questionnaire, so you can begin compiling information about your loved one.

Cooling-Off Period

You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you sign your contract. Therefore, should you cancel within the cooling-off period, I will terminate the contract.

Service Inclusions

• Our initial face-to-face, personal consultation (we will continue with telephone, email and Zoom)
• Writing of the first tribute based on our initial meeting and your questionnaire responses

Please note that I cannot be held responsible for any incorrect or misleading information. Please be clear and accurate with your responses. The tribute I write will be based on the information you provide. However, we will go through the drafts many times, so we get it just right.

• Multiple tribute review service (we will work within the timelines as determined by the date of the funeral)
• Regular communications with the family lead representative and Funeral Director
• A professionally delivered service
• Presentation of your tribute upon completion of the ceremony and within a reasonable amount of time

In the Event of Cancellation by You

I understand that plans can change. If the funeral is cancelled or rescheduled, please let me know as soon as possible. I will do my best to accommodate these changes. If you no longer wish to employ my services, I reserve the right to receive payment for the time spent in preparing your service, up to the time of your cancellation.

In the Event of Cancellation by Me

On the rare occasion that I cannot attend the funeral due to extenuating circumstances, I will source another qualified and respected celebrant to deliver your service, passing on all of your requirements. If I cancel and am unable to find a replacement, you will receive a full refund.

Tribute

The tribute is copyrighted to Ros Measures Celebrant until the day of the funeral at which point it is handed over to you and will not be used in future tribute writing activities. I reserve the right to retain any material used at the funeral, in order to use as an example for other clients; however, it will not be duplicated.

Travel

A travel allowance of 25 miles from my base, is included in my fee. Any mileage over 25 miles will incur an     additional charge of 45 pence per mile.

Accommodation

Should any accommodation be required, this will be charged separately.

Images and Testimonials

I may ask for your permission to use photographs from your service, either those that I have taken or that you have let me have access to, for use in the sole purpose of promoting my services either on my website or via social media. If you wish to leave a testimonial on my website, that would be appreciated, however, you are not obligated to provide either.

Confidentiality

All the information you provide to me is treated as confidential and I will not disclose any of it to a third party without your express permission. The content of your ceremony will be kept confidential, with the exception of any third parties I may include in creating your ceremony. Please refer to my Privacy Statement on my website.

Professional Affiliation and Insurance

I am a member of the Academy of Professional Celebrants and have Professional Indemnity, Public Liability & Product Liability Insurance, all at £4 million. Certificates available on request.
